Dear Faisal Hanif,

 

            Sorry for the long delay. 

Actually I did the following steps and enter what I am faced,

 

1.       Install "yate-1.0.0-setup+gtk2"

2.       Change to "some-name.conf.sample --> some-name.conf" on the conf.d
directory

3.       Open the regfile.conf creates one username and password 

a.       [aru]

b.       password=123

4.       Save all of them and restarts YATE.

5.       Go to the client machine and open the netmeeting --> Tool -->
options --> Click Advance Calling 

a.       Here I seen Gate keeper settings and Gateway settings

b.       Gate Keeper setting 

 
i.      Active  "Use a gatekeeper to place calls"   

1.       Here I am enter my YATE running machine's IP address
(192.168.100.195)

                                                                         ii.
Active "Log on using my account name"

1.       Here they ask Account  name, I am entering my already created
username and password I created in regfile.conf (aru , 123)

c.       Then click ok button they tell the "Gatekeeper not found"

 

How it is rectified. Kindly guide me if anything I do wrong way.

wel my friend this is Faisal

 

further more what u have to do

open regfile.conf   using your text editor ( notpad )

 

and make user accounts in that file like this

username u want to make write in braces like this

[username]

and blow that write in next line password=your password 

for example if you make a user aru with password 123 that ll be as follows

 

[aru]

password=123

 

 

you can make all user account like this up to your requirement. save close
file restart yate.

 

then goto client PCs run netmeeting (in xp you have to click on start >Run
type conf  and press enter to run netmeeting)

goto options click on advanced calling button in advanced calling click on
use gatekeeper and click on use my username and password

write IP Address of the PC with yate in gatekeeper address

and user name and password you created in regfile.conf click ok ok ok

 

repeat this steps on all pcs with difrent user account.

 

now you can call each other in netmeeting

 

in main window of netmeeting

type username you want to call in upper combobox of netmeeting and press the
upper left button of netmeeting

if destination pc netmeeting is running then he will receive a ring.

We fried this is faisal

 

u dont need to install yate on all machines. u hav to istall yate on one
machine which u want to use as call server.

and u can use ms netmeeting on other machines.

 

for basic use you dont need more configuration

 

enable view extention for known file type from view options of windows xp

 

just go to the directory where yate is installed

 

goto    conf.d    folder

 

there will many files with some-name.conf.sample

chane them to some-name.conf
