Nik,

I would check with a call-generator if the problem is related to calls-per-second or absolute number of calls. (vary the ramp up time)

If the former is the case (CPS) then my humble guess is that one must do more database tuning.

Also another interesting question is whether the system becomes again stable and clears the threads if you approach the inherent CPS limit and then decrease the CPS again.

Cheers,

Gerry

Subject: [yate] Yate creating more and more message dispatching threads

  Hi Paul,

This is a problem i experienced from the begining. I have 3 yate servers running an IVR application talking to 2 common mysql servers. 1st mysql server for ivr database, 2nd mysql server for cdr.

Some times, with high load (i.e.200 calls on each server), yate trends to generate more and more message dispatching threads and finally crash.

I was troubleshooting since then, try lot more mysql tuning as well. But had very little luck. Now i managed to enable core dump to capture the dump when the crash happen. I went through the dump, but i cant really interpret it well.

Can you please have a quick look on this core dump and shed me some light on how i can fix this.

Many thanks for your valuable time and help.
