Yate 2 -> Legacy modules removed

The support for libpri has come to an end because of the difficulty of keeping up with distribution dependent patches that keep changing the API in incompatible ways.

The zapchan and wpchan modules are gone from Yate 2. They are replaced with modules that use Yate's libysig and provide ISDN, SS7 and analog protocols support. Many new PSTN features will become possible because of these replacements.

Because the new modules have more capabilities their configuration settings are quite different from the old modules. You will need to build new configuration files.

Yate based ISDN passive recording system released by Trisys.

Yate 1.2 released. Added Jingle and XML support, PBX improved.

25 September:
YateAdmin 1 released.

25 September:
Yate 1.1 released. Fallback routing from a database, fax support in Linux and bug fixes. Changelog and Download availables.

11 July 2006:
O'Reilly published an article about prototyping telephony applications with Yate and Python.

10 July 2006:
Yate 1 released. Includes YIAX, YSIP, YRTP and many new features.

June 1st 2006:
